Ian is a property analyst and journalist who has been involved in some of the key debates about research methods in the property industry for over 20 years. He began with an academic study of the build up to the 1980s property boom and then worked on the major redevelopment site at Kings Cross until entering journalism in 1994.

​

He was an assistant editor of Property Week, one of the two main property titles in the UK, covering news – including breaking the return of Crossrail to the political agenda – writing features and analysis on a wide range of topics, while using the opinion column to challenge some of the cherished myths of property development.

As an analyst he has worked with Ramidus since its inception, including two Greater London Authority London Office Policy Reviews and projects around the M25.
